Ford Focus RS getting 330hp
Ford executives are to be confirmed officially or not the anticipated Focus RS certainly will be produced and a recent report suggested it could be fired for the Fiesta RS. However, Auto Express has challenged the reported uncertainty and the new generation Focus RS are produced 330hp (246kW/335PS).
The new engine is being developed primarily to replace less efficient units of Ford V6 in the line-up, but could be modified to better suit the sporty characteristics of the Focus RS.

The news comes from Matthias Ton, chief program engineer for the Focus ST, who was speaking at the launch of the 247hp model. ST confirmed the 2.0-liter EcoBoost was already near its power limit so Ford is developing a new 2.3-liter EcoBoost unit to obtain the necessary impetus to the RS would require.
According to the report, Ford bring the Focus RS to dealers in late 2013.
