Tata Nano diesel is one of the long-awaited car in the car market in India. It is expected that the car was introduced in 2013 in the hatchback segment. According to the latest updates, the Diesel Nano will have the smallest diesel powertrain in the world, setting a new record in the history of Nano. Almost two years after the launch of the petrol version of its small creation Tata Nano in the Indian market, Indian auto giant Tata Motors is planning to launch diesel version of this car in the country by September 2011. Diesel engine capacity of the Nano is speculated to be in the range of 600 to 700 cc and diesel Nano will feature the world's smallest Bosch Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) system.
The Tata Nano is the shortest diesel diesel car in the Indian market because until now only petrol run cars available in the segments range from A (Maruti 800) and A + (Maruti Alto). Tata Nano will be the only diesel car and in the country and thus create an own segment in the auto market in India.
